The Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions announced today that country music superstars Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, and chart-topping R&B artist, Ne-Yo are the first to be added to the all-star lineup performing at the ACM PRESENTS: TIM McGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT, taping Monday, April 8, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The special will be broadcast at a later date on the CBS Television Network.
Taylor Swift will kick off her highly-anticipated The RED Tour just two weeks from today – March 13th, in Omaha, Nebraska. The North American portion of The RED Tour will include 13 stadium stops, for a total of 66 shows in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces spanning 6 months in 2013.
Billboard reports, “It’s official: Taylor Swift’s ‘RED’ sold a whopping 1.208 million copies last week in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan,” scoring music’s highest weekly sales number in more than a decade (since 2002’s The Eminem Show), and earning Taylor a new page in the history books as the only female artist (and the fourth artist ever) to hit the 1 million first-week figure twice since SoundScan began tracking actual sales in 1991.
