Happy early-birthday to the lovely Sara Evans, who celebrates her big day on February 5th — Super Bowl Sunday! Somehow that seems appropriate because Sara’s husband, Jay Barker, became famous for football, leading the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide to a national championship, as well as playing in the NFL, including a stint with the New England Patriots – now poised to take on the New York Giants on Sunday! But football aside, Sara says that meeting and marrying her player-turned-commentator hubby has truly changed her life in amazing ways.

“Everyone tells me that I seem more relaxed than I ever have, and that is really the case. I mean, Jay has kind of completely changed who I am. I’m a completely different person than I was before I met him.”

Sara’s getting close to the action this weekend when she performs at Taste of the NFL’s 21st Annual Party with a Purpose event at Gleaners Food Bank in Indianapolis on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday. The strolling food and wine event features restaurant stations from each NFL city, together with current and former NFL player signings, celebrity chefs, a silent auction, an appearance by Miss America Laura Kaeppeler, and more, with proceeds to benefit food banks in NFL cities across the country. For more information, visit TasteOfTheNFL.com/SuperBowlEvent.

Recently nominated as ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, Sara is currently on the radio with her latest single, the gorgeous “My Heart Can’t Tell You No,” from her chart-topping Stronger album.

And be sure to watch for Sara on tour now with Rascal Flatts! Keep up with tour dates and all things Sara at SaraEvans.com!
