Miranda Lambert Over You Video - CountryMusicRocks.net

Check out Miranda Lambert’s new video for her current hit single “Over You”. “Over You,” is one that she wrote with her husband, Blake Shelton — and  hearing Miranda tell the story of how the song came about, very naturally — in memory of Blake’s brother, Richie, who died in an auto accident in 1990 — is in many ways as touching as the song itself. “We started writin’ this song on the bus. I don’t even know why really. I think maybe we had been talkin’ about Richie and talkin’ about the wedding, you know, sayin’, ‘Wish Richie could be there at the wedding,’ and it just kinda came to us. He was playin’ this melody and kinda said (singing), ‘Weatherman says it’s gonna snow,’ and I was like, ‘That’s kinda cool,’ and then it just started kinda becoming about that subject, and I said, ‘You went away,’ and he said, ‘How dare you,’ for the line, and we both just broke down cryin’. And I’ve never cried writin’ a song before, and I don’t know that I ever will again.”

Miranda Lambert returns to the stage of her “On Fire” Tour tonight, after two weeks away that included a performance of “America The Beautiful” at the Super Bowl with her husband Blake Shelton, a Grammy filled weekend where she presented Country Album of the Year and performed at Clive Davis’ party, one of the most prestigious events of the year, and she made her acting debut on her favorite show, Law & Order: SVU.

Her “On Fire” Tour is hot and one of the most sought after tickets this year. Miranda takes the stage this weekend with near capacity crowds in Amherst, MA and Hershey, PA and a sold out show in Youngstown, OH, which sold out the day tickets went on sale. The tour kicked off on January 12 with back to back sold out performances in Rockford, IL and La Crosse, WI. Other sell-outs included Baltimore, MD and Charlottesville, VA and Huntsville, AL.

Miranda’s new single, “Over You,” written by Miranda and Blake about his brother who died in a car accident when Blake was a teenager, is one of the fastest rising singles of her career. The song has taken on even deeper meaning with the recent passing of her father-in-law and her longtime friend Mark “Tex” Adams. “Over You” is currently Top 20 and climbing on the country airplay charts.

Four The Record was certified Gold just before the New Year and Miranda made history by becoming the first country artist in the 47 year history of the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart to have each of her first four albums debut at # 1.
