Miranda Lambert returns to the stage of her “On Fire” Tour tonight, after two weeks away that included a performance of “America The Beautiful” at the Super Bowl with her husband Blake Shelton, a Grammy filled weekend where she presented Country Album of the Year and performed at Clive Davis’ party, one of the most prestigious events of the year, and she made her acting debut on her favorite show, Law & Order: SVU.

Her “On Fire” Tour is hot and one of the most sought after tickets this year. Miranda takes the stage this weekend with near capacity crowds in Amherst, MA and Hershey, PA and a sold out show in Youngstown, OH, which sold out the day tickets went on sale. The tour kicked off on January 12 with back to back sold out performances in Rockford, IL and La Crosse, WI. Other sell-outs included Baltimore, MD and Charlottesville, VA and Huntsville, AL.

Miranda’s new single, “Over You,” written by Miranda and Blake about his brother who died in a car accident when Blake was a teenager, is one of the fastest rising singles of her career. The song has taken on even deeper meaning with the recent passing of her father-in-law and her longtime friend Mark “Tex” Adams. “Over You” is currently Top 20 and climbing on the country airplay charts.

Four The Record was certified Gold just before the New Year and Miranda made history by becoming the first country artist in the 47 year history of the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart to have each of her first four albums debut at # 1.

Miranda Lambert mourns yet another loss.  Lambert recently lost her father-in-law, Dick Shelton, last month and a little over a week later her childhood friend, Mark Adams, passed away.  Lambert tweeted earlier today, My best friend, father in law and now my dog Dixie. My dog died thursday. My parents just told me. Headed now to bury my friend of 20 years.  I hope what they say is right. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Thanks for the prayers.

Miranda rescheduled her Friday, February 3 concert at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center to attend the funeral of a close friend.  The concert has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 7:30pm.

Thoughts & Prayers go out to Miranda during this difficult time of so much loss & pain.

Two of the hottest artists in country music these days have to be the wife and hubby couple of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. And while Miranda’s career has skyrocketed, she says that with Blake as one of the star coaches on the hit series, The Voice, his visibility from the show has made it tough for them to go out unnoticed, even among people who aren’t necessarily listening to country music.

Miranda Lambert says that she and Blake Shelton get recognized a lot more these days.  “I understand now why, you know, sometimes people that get largely famous and…sort of become a little bit weird. It’s not because…you get trapped in your own world, just a little bit, you know, and I’m lucky I’m in country, so it’s not as bad, but some of these big stars, you can’t walk down the street. You can’t. And I’ve learned that with even Blake, you know, with the last time we were in New York City. We couldn’t even walk five feet, and that’s New York City, and that’s not a country mecca. Now that’s he’s this big network television star, things have changed, and you know, we are exactly the same people we always were. We are, like, so down to earth and do not care about ‘the scene’ or havin’ this certain famous image, but then there’s this part that you are a star and that’s how people perceive you, so you have to always carry yourself that way.”

Well, if Blake’s being recognized more than Miranda because of all his TV time on The Voice, Miranda is doing some big-time catch-up! The NFL officially confirmed that Blake and Miranda will perform “America the Beautiful” together as part of Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVI pre-game festivities! According to the NFL announcement, more than 162 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s game, making it the most-watched television program in history. Full pre-game coverage begins Sunday at noon, ET, with game kick-off set for 6:30pm, ET, on NBC.  And speaking of Blake on The Voice, don’t miss the second-season premiere, airing right after the Super Bowl, this Sunday, on NBC!

Blake and Miranda also recorded “America the Beautiful” as a duet that went on sale this week! You can purchase your copy HERE, on iTunes.
