Martina McBride Raises Over $35,000 For Musicians On Call Nashville

Republic Nashville recording artist, Martina McBride, performed to a sold out Hard Rock Cafe Nashville crowd on Friday, Nov. 16 with all proceeds directly benefitting Musicians On Call (MOC) Nashville, the non-profit that brings music to the bedsides of patients in six area healthcare facilities. Breaking MOC Nashville fundraising records for a single event, the benefit amassed over $35,000 through the event ticketing, silent auction, and through a unique online auction that afforded one lucky winner the opportunity to join McBride on stage for a song to which winning bidder, Lyndsi Riley, chose “This One’s for the Girls.”

Country Superstar Martina McBride made a Midwest trek over the weekend as part of her One Night Theater Tour and sold out all three shows. The powerhouse vocalist shared stories, favorite songs and more with packed houses at the Shooting Star Casino (Mahnomen, MN); Surf Ballroom (Clearlake, IA) and Honeywell Center (Wabash, IN).

Wanting to share a special experience with her fans, McBride also took to Twitter for setlist ideas and giveaways, providing yet another way to connect. Just before the Wabash, IN show, McBride helped make a special moment for a mother and daughter, gifting them tickets to the concert.

McBride is not only helping create memories for the audience, but is experiencing them herself. “I love performing in places with history where you can almost hear musicians from the past. Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper played their last show at The Surf Ballroom where we were on Saturday so I wanted to perform the Buddy Holly classic, “That’ll Be The Day,” said McBride. The show was over two hours long and earned her two encores.

Throughout most of the summer, she will engage with fans during the One Night Tour, but on May 27, McBride will head to Indianapolis, IN to sing the national anthem at the 96^th Indianapolis 500. A couple of weeks later, on June 10, she will headline the CMA Music Festival’s LP Field show in Nashville. Martina McBride To Perform National Anthem At Indy 500 Race

GRAMMY® winning Country Superstar Martina McBride will sing the national anthem during pre-race ceremonies at the 96th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

A Kansas native, McBride is known for having one of the most spectacular voices in any genre of music. She is a four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and has sold more than 18 million albums, producing six #1 hit singles. The three-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year was most recently nominated for Female Video of the Year at the upcoming CMT Music Awards on June 6. Fans can vote daily until June 4 at www.CMT.com.

“I am extremely excited that the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has invited me to this year’s Indy 500,” said Martina. “It is a huge honor to sing the National Anthem at what is known as the ‘Greatest Spectacle in Racing.’”

McBride’s first album on Republic Nashville, ELEVEN, includes her current single, “Marry Me,” a collaboration with Train’s Pat Monahan and is the follow-up to her 25th career Top 10 single, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”
