Easton Corbin All Over The Road Album - CountryMusicRocks.net

Mercury Records recording artist Easton Corbin will release his highly anticipated second album titled All Over The Road, on Sept. 18. The 11-song set includes the fast-rising single “Lovin’ You Is Fun” (written by Bob DiPiro and Jim Beavers) and was produced by celebrated producer Carson Chamberlain (Billy Currington).

“‘All Over the Road’ is a fun title,” Easton contends, “but it’s also actually what we’re doing out there. We’re all over the road trying to get music out to everybody, so I just thought it made sense.”

All Over The Road further cements the Gilchrist County, Florida native’s place in today’s country music as a torch bearer for traditional songs. With songs such as the opening title track “All Over The Road” (written by Carson Chamberlain, Ashley Gorley and Wade Kirby), the clever “Tulsa Texas” (Tony Lane, David Lee and Mike Lane) and the endearing “A Thing For You” (written by Easton Corbin, Carson Chamberlain and Tony Lane), Easton reminds you who his influences are: Keith Whitley, George Jones and Merle Haggard.

All Over The Road is the follow-up to Easton’s acclaimed self-titled debut that Mercury released in 2010. Easton Corbin spawned back-to-back #1’s with his first two singles – “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It” – making him the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1.

Entertainment Weekly said “He is singing old-school songs, full of wit and heart,” and “It sounds effortless…sit back and remember why you fell in love with country music in the first place.” Billboard named Easton the Top New Country Artist of 2010 while People stated “…sounds like the second coming of George Strait with his neo-traditional tunes.”

In December 2010 Easton won all of the Breakthrough Artist awards at the inaugural American Country Awards – Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist, Single of the Year: Breakthrough Artist and Music Video: Breakthrough Artist for “A Little More Country Than That.”

The Scholarship Fund honors the bravery and dedication exhibited by Americans in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country by awarding college scholarships to their children. Scholarships are awarded to students whose parent has been killed or permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident.  For the 2011 academic year, they awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to 240 sons and daughters of American heroes.  To date, the Fund has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships. For more information on the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund you can go to www.freedomalliance.org.

“I feel so fortunate to be apart of the Road to the Ram Jam series involving three things I am passionate about; trucks, honoring our military and country music,” said Corbin. “Growing up on a farm, I learned to love trucks.  Driving my new, loaded Laramie Longhorn is great and to be able to auction it off and donate the proceeds to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund is an added bonus.  I am looking forward to this program and being a part of the Ram Jam Concert in Nashville in December.”

“Easton Corbin is a great addition to the select family of Road to the Ram Jam artists,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO – Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico, Chrysler Group LLC. “Easton’s road to success clearly shows that he shares the same determination, hard-work values and dedication as the Ram Truck brand. We’re proud to see him driving a new Laramie Longhorn.”

Easton Corbin’s brand new single “Lovin’ You Is Fun” has officially impacted country radio!  The new single will be on his forthcoming sophomore album which is anticipated for release later this year.  Corbin’s excitement for his new single & upcoming album was more than evident when we sat down to chat with him.

Of the new single Corbin says, “I think its just a great upbeat song out of the box. I think those kind songs are really hard to beat for a first or second single with a positive message. ”

In additional great news, Easton tells us that he has just finished up his new album.  “I’m really excited about it” Easton tells CountryMusicRocks.  “I really think that for an artist the sophomore record is really crucial.  Not only are you competing against other people but your also competing against yourself to do just as good or better and I feel like we’ve done that.” Easton continues, “I think for me it was just basically going in and using the same formula. Which, like before, cutting songs that you love and that you relate to and being true to yourself, and that’s what I did on this record.  This record also shows some growth as well.”  Corbin wrote two songs for his new upcoming album and when it came to choosing the songs, he said it was a difficult process just as it was with his first album. “You have so many songs that you love and you’ve got to narrow it down to eleven and that’s the same with this record.  If I could cut twenty songs I would’ve found that many more songs that I loved as well, but I think we found the best eleven songs for it.”  Easton tells us that his debut album & hit single “A Little More Country Than That” was a great introduction to who he was and this new album is definitely just as country.

We had a little fun with Easton and asked him 5 Quick Questions where he answered using the first thing that came to his mind.
