Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin will join previously announced artists Kellie Pickler and Brantley Gilbert for the “Road to the Ram® Jam” series and sweepstakes.  The Road to the Ram Jam, presented by the Ram Truck brand, features five of today’s best country music artists and provides fans the opportunity to win prizes including trips for two to an invitation-only 2012 RamJam concert event December 29thin Nashville, TN, where all five artists will perform.

The Road to the Ram Jam series and sweepstakes helps bring country music fans closer to some of their favorite artists with exclusive video content, the opportunity to win prizes including collectible posters and vinyl records through participating country radio stations nationwide, and free music downloads. Corbin will offer fans a chance to win a free download of his new single “Lovin’ You Is Fun,” from his forthcoming sophomore album All Over The Road, when they enter the Road to the Ram Jam concert sweepstakes. The remaining Road to the Ram Jam artists will be announced throughout the year and all five participating will receive a lease on a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn truck. The trucks will then be auctioned off in early 2013 with all proceeds going to benefit a charity of each artist’s choice.

Proceeds from Corbin’s Ram truck will be donated to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund honors the bravery and dedication exhibited by Americans in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country by awarding college scholarships to their children. Scholarships are awarded to students whose parent has been killed or permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident.  For the 2011 academic year, they awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to 240 sons and daughters of American heroes.  To date, the Fund has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships. Easton Corbin Releases New Single “Lovin’ You Is Fun” To Country Radio

Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin has just released his newest single,“Lovin’ You Is Fun.” The song arrived at country radio this week and was the second most added single to the play charts. “Lovin’ You Is Fun” was written by two of Nashville’s hottest tunesmiths Bob DiPiro and Jim Beavers and is produced by Carson Chamberlain, who also produced Corbin’s first album.

The song will be available exclusively at iTunes on March 13.

“When I first heard this song, man, it just really felt good. It’s a fun song – a feel good summertime song you can roll the windows down and turn the radio up,” says Corbin.

Easton Corbin’s brand new single “Lovin’ You Is Fun” has officially impacted country radio!  The new single will be on his forthcoming sophomore album which is anticipated for release later this year.  Corbin’s excitement for his new single & upcoming album was more than evident when we sat down to chat with him.

Of the new single Corbin says, “I think its just a great upbeat song out of the box. I think those kind songs are really hard to beat for a first or second single with a positive message. ”

In additional great news, Easton tells us that he has just finished up his new album.  “I’m really excited about it” Easton tells CountryMusicRocks.  “I really think that for an artist the sophomore record is really crucial.  Not only are you competing against other people but your also competing against yourself to do just as good or better and I feel like we’ve done that.” Easton continues, “I think for me it was just basically going in and using the same formula. Which, like before, cutting songs that you love and that you relate to and being true to yourself, and that’s what I did on this record.  This record also shows some growth as well.”  Corbin wrote two songs for his new upcoming album and when it came to choosing the songs, he said it was a difficult process just as it was with his first album. “You have so many songs that you love and you’ve got to narrow it down to eleven and that’s the same with this record.  If I could cut twenty songs I would’ve found that many more songs that I loved as well, but I think we found the best eleven songs for it.”  Easton tells us that his debut album & hit single “A Little More Country Than That” was a great introduction to who he was and this new album is definitely just as country.

Easton Corbin has been forced to cancel several performances lately as he has been under the weather.  Easton issued a message to his fans on his facebook fanpage earlier today as well as on his official website.

To all of my fans:

I wanted to let all of my fans know that I am truly sorry that I have had to cancel shows this month. I haven’t been feeling well, and after a few doctor visits, they informed me that I needed to rest. I am taking the time to get better and be 100% so that I can go back on the road and do what makes me happy, playing for all of you. Thank you for all of your love and support. Can’t wait to feel better and see all of you out on the road.

Country Stars took to social media last night after hearing about the unfortunate tragedy at the Sugarland Concert.  Due to severe weather conditions, the stage collapsed causing multiple injuries, some life threatening, and at this time has claimed 5 lives.

In true form, country artists come together and offer their thoughts, prayers & condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.

Blake Shelton: My prayers to the people at the Sugarland concert in Indianapolis…. Absolutely shocking and hard to comprehend… Beyond belief…
