2012 CMT Music Awards Save The Date - CountryMusicRocks.net

The 2012 CMT MUSIC AWARDS is guaranteed to be the hottest ticket in town this summer with performers including Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band during this year’s live show.  Country music’s first fan-voted awards show, now in its 11th year, will broadcast from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 6 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com.  Additional performers, along with host and presenters will be announced soon.

Tickets for the show will go on sale Monday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. CT at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Bridgestone Arena Box Office. 

Fans can vote online at CMT.com, and on their mobile device at CMT Mobile or the CMT Insider app available on iPhone, iPad and Android now through June 4 to determine the winners.  The five finalists for VIDEO OF THE YEAR will be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can then vote at CMT.com, CMT mobile, on the CMT Insider app and via text message throughout the live telecast (ET/CT only) to determine the night’s big winner. 

Michael Dempsey will executive produce the 2012 CMT MUSIC AWARDS alongside director Joe DeMaio.  John Hamlin and Margaret Comeaux serve as executive producers for CMT.

CMT Big New Music Weekend - CountryMusicRocks.net

Discover new music and fall in love with country’s biggest stars all over again as CMT presents CMT BIG NEW MUSIC WEEKEND, beginning Friday, April 27 at 6 a.m. ET/PT.  In an exclusive world premiere event, the network will unveil 12 brand new country music videos, paired alongside some of the biggest recent hits to create killer music hours all weekend long.

CMT BIG NEW MUSIC WEEKEND will include the newest videos by superstars Carrie Underwood; Miranda Lambert; Jason Aldean; Rascal Flatts; Luke Bryan; Taylor Swift with The Civil Wars; Eric Church; Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw; Martina McBride and Train; and Kelly Clarkson.  Additionally, the weekend will include exclusive world premieres by Lady Antebellum (“Perfect Day”); Lee Brice (“Hard to Love”); Kix Brooks featuring Joe Walsh (“New to this Town”); a new version of Thompson Square’s “Glass;” Easton Corbin (“Lovin’ You is Fun”); David Nail (“The Sound of a Million Dreams”); Dustin Lynch (“Cowboys and Angels”); Aaron Lewis (“Endless Summer”); J.T. Jason Aldean Fly Over States - CountryMusicRocks.net

CMT will host the exclusive world premiere of Jason Aldean’s new video “Fly Over States” from his current album My Kinda Party on Friday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT (repeats same day at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT; March 17 at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.; and March 18 at 9:00 a.m.).  As part of the premiere, Aldean will host a 30-minute special CMT PREMIERES: JASON ALDEAN “FLY OVER STATES” which includes a look back at the four other music videos from the double-platinum album complete with behind-the-scenes stories.

In addition to CMT and CMT.com, the video will air on CMT Mobile, the CMT INSIDER app and on CMT Pure, the 24-hour digital all music channel.  CMT is the only country music network in the unique position to deliver world premiere exclusives to fans on demand, on multiple platforms.

Directed by Wes Edwards, “Fly Over States” was shot at an airplane graveyard in Smyrna, Tenn. and features Aldean and his band in a hollowed out plane.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with CMT as American Idol alum Lauren Alaina hosts the first-ever CMT TEDDY AWARDS on Tuesday, February 14 at 8 a.m. ET/PT and 11 a.m. ET/PT.  CMT will reveal the results of a fan-voted poll during the one hour video countdown special, which includes romantically-inspired categories like “Best Kiss,” “Steamiest,” “Best Use of Lingerie” and “Tightest Jeans in a Video.”  Fans can also check @FollowCMT on Twitter tomorrow morning for a chance to win Alaina’s co-star, an autographed teddy bear.

Zac Brown Band’s sold-out Red Rocks shows this past September awed 20,000 fans at the Colorado amphitheatre, and on Saturday, December 10 at 10:30am ET/PT, CMT will premiere a 5-song “Zac Brown Band – Live at Red Rocks” special including the debut of a brand new unreleased song “Sweet Annie.”

The special will also include performances of the band’s Colorado-themed #1 smash “Colder Weather” and their fastest-rising single “Keep Me In Mind” (#3 Billboard Hot Country with a bullet) both from the #1 Platinum album ‘You Get What You Give’ (Atlantic/Southern Ground Artists). CMT and CMT.com will host the worldwide debut of Average Joe’s Entertainment’s Corey Smith’s new music video, “Maybe Next Year,” this Wednesday, November 16, 2011. In addition to the exclusive airing, Smith will also take part in a live chat on Facebook, kicking off at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on Nov. 16 where fans can ask questions and interact directly. “Maybe Next Year” is the new single from Smith’s 2011 release, The Broken Record, and showcases the very relatable crossroads everyone faces into adulthood.

“Although I wrote “Maybe Next Year” in my late 20′s, I think it serves as a friendly reminder of the fact that we can all use a little self-improvement, no matter how old we are,” shares Smith.  “I’m happy that fans will be getting to see the song come to life in such a vivid way. I hope they are as pleased with the video as I am.”

“Maybe Next Year” will premiere across CMT’s multiple properties including CMT, CMT.com, CMT Pure, CMT Mobile, the CMT Insider App and CMT’s social media outlets.
