BNA recording artist Wade Bowen just released his new single, “Saturday Night”, on iTunes.  Bowen has a great solid sound that will fit in nicely on country radio.  His new single has a unique view on one of the most sought out days of the week, Saturday Night.  While most weekend-type songs are about partying & living-it-up, this new single is quite the opposite.

“Saturday Night” is a tale of a guy who is at the bar but not having a good time like everyone else.  He is lonely, even though there is a crowd, and has nothing waiting for him at home; other than Sunday morning.  As he sits at the bar thinking about his sad goodbye, he is wondering  why everybody loves Saturday night.  The new the tune is one that is catchy and is sure to make an impact on country radio with lyrics such as  “‘Why does everybody love Saturday night, Stale smell of beer and the smoke in your eyes, I keep sittin’ and drinken’ and thinkin’ about a sad good-bye, So tell me why is everybody so in love with Saturday night.”

Wade is currently busy touring in Texas, but he will be making his way out to country radio stations promoting his new single “Saturday Night”.  You can start enjoying his new single now by taking a listen and then be sure to pick up your copy of “Saturday Night” available on iTunes now by clicking HERE.

Joe Nichols released his sixth studio album, It’s All Good, today, November 8, and the album is exactly that – it’s ALL good! In fact, its great!!  The new album houses 10 solid tracks, including his hit single “Take It Off”.  Nichols’ rich voice once again captures listeners on this album from start to finish. Joe sticks to his roots resulting in the album maintaining a traditional country sound.

Nichols’ kicks the album off with his lead single “Take It Off”.  The carefree tune serves as a great summer anthem making you want to “dig your hand down in the cooler, grab a cold one & twist the top – take it off”“Somebody’s Mama” is a unique song about the love that got away.  As he remenices about about the girl he loved, he figures that she has moved on, married a rich man and is a mother by now.  Title track “It’s All Good” has a classic country sound that is laid back and easy going. While things don’t always work or go as planned, it’s still all good.  “I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” is a standout track on the album.  Between the music arrangement and Joe’s solid vocals along with Alison Krauss singing in the background, the song intrigues you right from the start.  “No Truck, No Boat, No Girl” once again showcases Nichols fun personality as does “Never Gonna Get Enough” where you can almost hear Joe’s bright smile in the song.

Miranda Lambert Four The Record - CountryMusicRocks.net

Miranda Lambert’s highly anticipated fourth studio album FOUR THE RECORD is now available and will no doubt skyrocket up to the top of the charts, and rightfully so.  The album houses 14 tracks, six of which Lambert wrote/co-wrote, including a track with husband Blake Shelton.

Four The Record sets itself apart from Miranda’s first three albums, as she takes it a step further and puts it all out there.  Her hardwork is apparent as the album is filled with creativity and uniqueness.  Lambert reflects soul, passion & of course some attitude throughout the album and brings it all together so that it flows seamlessly. This album is a work of art and Miranda Lambert serves as the talented artist behind the masterpiece.  Four The Record is not just an album, it’s a statement.

Four The Record kicks of with a message in first song “All Kinds of Kinds”.  The song brings attention to the fact there are all different walks of life and that is what keeps the world spinning.  “Fastest Girl In Town” is a sassy rockin’ tune that is a classic Miranda-esque track.  With lines like  my reputation follows me around, just makes me wanna give ‘em more to talk about and if he pulls us over I’ll turn on the charm, you’ll be in the slammer and I’ll be on his arm, the tune will no doubt become a fan favorite and will also be a great one see Miranda perform live.  “Safe” showcases Miranda’s softer side as she sings about keeping a relationship full of love safe, while “Dear Diamond” serves as confessional to an affair, only she speaks the confession to her beautiful, flawless diamond rather than speak the truth and hurt the man she married. It goes without saying that “Baggage Claim” served as a great introductory single to the new album.  Fans quickly embraced Miranda’s new tune and it quickley worked its way up the charts settling in nicely in the Top 5.  “Over You” was written by both Miranda & husband Blake Shelton.  The song holds significant meaning to them, more specifically for Blake, as it is about his brother that passed away in a car accident.  The tenderness in Miranda’s vocals is evident in this track as she sings about never getting over the loss.  Blake Shelton steps in on “Better in the Long Run” as they sing about a love that is coming undone and in the long run it would be best for them to part ways.  With lines like It’s no surprise we’ve come undone, but I can’t unlove you just because you say it’s better in the long run, it is clear that they will always love each other.

All 14 tracks on the album have their own sound and story.  Each one stands out on their own, capturing the listener from start to finish.  Four The Record is an album that holds promise & longevity with several solid tracks that will make for great singles to be heard on Country Radio.

Four The Record is available in stores now as well as digital outlets such as iTunes by clicking HERE.  Be sure to pick up a copy – or a few as this album will make great stocking stuffers this holiday season.

Sonia Leigh 1978 December - CountryMusicRocks.net

Sonia Leigh has just released her new country album, 1978 December, on Zac Brown’s record label Southern Ground Artists.   1978 December houses 10 solid tracks, all of which Sonia wrote with the exception of two tracks which were co-written with Zac Brown.  While Sonia is no stranger to the music industry, she did impact country music earlier this summer with her hit single “My Name Is Money” and has been on the road with the Zac Brown Band gaining exposure and building her fanbase with each performance.

1978 December serves as a great introduction into Sonia as an artist.   Sonia’s skills as a songwriter speaks volumes and her down-home southern vocals are a treat to listeners with each note she sings.  There are several standout tracks on this album, one of which is “Ain’t Dead Yet”.  The song encourages folks to live in the moment and make your decisions count for something.  Sonia cleverly puts a dose of reality in the song with lyrics such as “money burns fast”, “lawyers lie” and “there’s nothing like a broken heart”.  “Bar” is a great feel-good/drinking country song.  While that may sound like a cliche’ of country music, it is anything but.   The song is one that makes you want to raise your glass & sing along just as Zac Brown does as he accompanies Sonia on this track.  “I Just Might” once again showcases Sonia’s true talents as an artist.  This ballad is full of emotion and soul as she sings about trying to do the right thing and not fall into temptation & make a bad decision.  The six minute song gives listeners a deep look into the passion Sonia has for her music.  “My Name Is Money” served as the introductory single of the album and has been climbing the charts since its release.  While the chorus is simple, the message in the song is strong and brilliant as she illustrates the power of money and how it can chain you down and bring you to your knees while it can also make your eyes light up, and put a dazzle in your smile.

Sonia Leigh’s new album 1978 December solidifies the bright future she has ahead.  In her album title track song, Sonia sings about coming into the world screaming to be heard.  Well, we listened and definitely love what we heard.  Keep your ears tuned & eyes open because you will be hearing and seeing a lot of Sonia not only now but also in the years to come as she is an artist that will be around for a long time.  Sonia is on a successful path and her hard work, determination and talents are more than evident on this album.

Pistol Annies Hell On Heels Album - CountryMusicRocks.net

Pistol Annie’s have been making quite the impact since their unveiling earlier this year at the ACM: Girls Night Out event.  Since then, their debut single “Hell On Heels” has been resonating with country music fans all around.  The great news is, there is more where that came from as Pistol Annies is gearing up to release their debut album HELL ON HEELS on Tuesday, August 23rd.  Pistol Annies is comprised of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe & Angaleena Presley. Their debut album HELL ON HEELS houses 10 tracks, all of which they wrote/co-wrote.

Their infectious harmonies and dynamic personalities shine through on this album.  Debut single “Hell On Heels” serves as a great introduction to the trio with their unmistakeable twang and just the right amount of attitude.  “Beige” is a song about Daddy’s pride & joy who got pregnant and subsequently followed up with a wedding, only she was wearing beige rather than the standard pure color white. “Bad Example” is another fun, standout track showcasing the girl’s sassy side.  There’s always someone that has to set the bad example, so Pistol Annies takes on that challenge as they “teach all the prim and propers what not to do”.  “Housewife’s Prayer” is song  about a wife who is struggling in life as she is trying to make ends meet.  While the bills keep getting higher, she’s thinking about setting her house on fire.  Written soley by Miranda Lambert, “Trailer For Rent” is another catchy tune on the album.  While you may not hear this song on country radio due to the use of a certain four letter word,  the song is sure to become a fan favorite.  “Family Feud”, written by Pistol Annies & Blake Shelton, is a story about a family fighting over material items after just laying their Mama to rest while one is just standing back watching it all go down and thinking “the good Lord giveth and the family taketh away”.

While the songs are rather brief, only averaging about 2:30/3:30 minutes, HELL ON HEELS is still an album you will want to add to your collection.  Their classic country musical arrangements take you back in time to some good ol’ country music while still keeping with the modern day appeal.  Miranda, Ashley & Angaleena come in with a bang for a debut album.
