The-Farm-CMR-Artist-Spotlight---CountryMusicRocks.net

CountryMusicRocks is shining its spotlight on The Farm, a brand new trio who signed with Warner Music Nashville on their Elektra Records imprint earlier this summer.  The Farm, comprised of Krista Marie, Damien Horne & Nick Hoffman, released their debut single “Home Sweet Home”  to country radio last month and since then it has been making a significant impact on country radio airwaves.

The Farm’s unique sound is a blend of  all three voices that are absolutely amazing.  Their harmonies will blow you away and their fresh, new sound is a great welcome on country radio.  Their new single is a great representation of how sometimes we just need a break and to go to that special place that feels like “home sweet home”.  With lyrics such as  “I need a little time, I need a little space, I need a little gone, a little out of this place…  Take me back, I’ve been away too long, Take me back to my home sweet home” you can’t help but start singing along thinking about your “home sweet home”. A striking component of this trio is that each member, their voice and their talent is key to the distinct, dynamic sound that they present.  They are all front runners of this band and that right there serves as a testimony to what The Farm is all about.  Their energy, passion and soul shines through their music  and will capture country listeners right from the start!

We caught up with Nick earlier this year and chatted with him about The Farm and their hit new single.   “Home Sweet Home” represents who The Farm is and it’s a great debut single for us because it represents the mash up of our three different styles.  It’s got the fiddle hook in the beginning.  It’s got Damien and Krista singing from their heart about something that means something to them and it’s got a chorus that represents the country guy that I am, and it represents exactly who the three of us are.” Nick shares with CountryMusicRocks.net “What’s really interesting about the single, and I think also one of the reasons that it is a special first release is, it’s the first song that we ever got together and wrote.  It’s ironic that first song became our first single and that’s pretty cool.”

The Farm is band that you will want to keep your eyes open & ears tuned in as we anticipate 2012 to be a big year for them. The Farm will be part of CountryMusicRocks Country Artists to Rock 2012 List, and you can bet “the farm” on that!

Keep up with Krista, Damien & Nick and get to know The Farm by visiting their official website, www.TheFarmMusic.com, Liking them on Facebook and following them on Twitter.

Love-And-Theft-CMR-Spotlight---CountryMusicRocks.net

Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles of Love And Theft are back!!! The duo signed with RCA Nashville this summer and have since then been working on brand new music for fans to enjoy. After taking a listen to their new single “Angel Eyes”, it was evident that our CMR Spotlight needed to shine on Love And Theft.

“Angel Eyes” serves as a perfect re-introduction to the duo. The song captures their strong vocals as well as showcases their energy throughout the song. Eric & Stephen sing about a preacher’s daughter who has the eyes of an angel with a bit of a rebel side as she spends her Saturday nights rockin’ at a bonfire and the next day singing in the Sunday Church Choir. The chorus definitely has a great hook to it with lyrics such as “there’s a little bit of devil in her angel eyes, she’s a little bit of heaven with a wild side.” The new track from the Eric & Stephen is definitely quality material and belongs on country radio ASAP. It’s Catchy, It’s Fresh & most of all – It’s Country!

Last month we reported that Zac Brown launched his own independent record label, Southern Ground Artists, Inc., which is dedicated to promoting Georgia’s rising talent.  Zac Brown signed Sonia Leigh and she will be releasing her new album, 1978 December, on August 30th.

Sonia Leigh is no stranger to the country music industry as she has opened for country music icon Loretta Lynn, and was just recently pulled up on stage by Kenny Chesney this past weekend in Green Bay, WI. Sonia also made her debut at the CMA Music Festival and played at the Chevy Stage as well as performed onstage at LP field with the Zac Brown Band.

Sonia’s voice is unique & crisp as well as full of soul and passion that has just the right amount of twang, grit and energy.  Sonia leaps out of the gates with her first single, “My Name Is Money”, from her upcoming album.  The song is about the power of money and how it can make a woman weak, bring you love, chain you down & set you free as well as change your mind without a second thought.  While the chorus is very simple “My name is Money / Money is my name / Well hello my name is money / Money is my name,” the song conveys a strong message and is a very catchy tune that Sonia delivers just perfectly.

“My Name Is Money” is available on iTunes Now by clicking HERE!!!  Head over and get your copy of this brand new single and be sure to keep your eyes open and ears tuned-in to Sonia Leigh.  I anticipate you will be seeing and hearing a lot from her in the coming months leading up to her 1978 December album release on August 30th.
