CMT is celebrating the most successful and influential songs of the past ten years when it counts down country’s most popular videos in an all-new music special, CMT’S 40 GREATEST SONGS OF THE DECADE, premiering Saturday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT. The two-hour special will pay tribute to the top 40 videos in country music from 2000-2010, ranging from rowdy party songs and working class anthems, to passionate and fiery love songs; all of which have become fan favorites and staples in country music over the last decade.
Highlighting classics such as Brooks & Dunn’s “Red Dirt Road,” Faith Hill’s “Breathe” and Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” the special will also incorporate exclusive, brand-new interviews with country music’s biggest stars. Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and other famous faces will be on hand providing personal commentary and revealing the stories behind the songs. In addition, archival footage featuring unforgettable moments with country superstars and celebrities will be included while counting down to number one.
